What this tab shows
The Global Variables tab is a comparison and export helper. It combines variables detected from the active theme with variables already configured in admin, then shows the configured value, the theme default value, and related metadata in one table.
How operators use it
- Check whether a theme variable already has an admin override.
- Compare the configured value with the theme default.
- Hide variables that are already configured so missing overrides are easier to find.
- Refresh the comparison snapshot after configuration changes.
- Export the table to CSV for review or bulk preparation.
How to read the table
Variable nameis the base variable identifier.Configured valueis the value currently selected from admin configuration rows.Theme default valueis the default value detected from the theme stylesheet.Related metadatashows the selected key, type, countries, content state, and version count context.
Known caveats
- This tab does not save data by itself. Changes still happen through the configuration editor, import, publish, set-active, enable/disable, or delete actions.
- If theme variables cannot be loaded, the table can still show values that are already configured in admin.
Hide configured variablesis only a display filter. It does not delete, disable, or unpublish anything.Export CSVis generated in the browser from the current comparison snapshot.
